Pros

Some articulate advisors, but they seemed to always advise another degree

Pros

Benefits can be considered good. Generous PTO and flexible working hours (for some professions)

Cons

Majority of time spent is in meetings; less time on collaborating on strategy. There's a culture of viewing your peers as incompetent and unable to perform their job. There are people who walk around with a sense of entitlement. Lack of involvement or mediation from management and HR during times of conflict.

Everyone is Expendable

Pros

Rank and file staff is committed, collaborative, welcoming

Cons

Not one member of the executive leadership team was hired competitively for the job they are now doing, and they are grossly unqualified. They have no idea how to articulate a direction, generate engagement with employees, or demonstrate they value anyone but themselves. Military-style, top-down management assumes everyone is replaceable.
