Staff is generally staff to each other.

Cons

Not enough diversity at the upper level management. Department heads have their own mission versus working together.

Pros

Wonderful employees who really care about students. Great benefits. Organization that is really working to improve as an institution and improve student's lives.

Cons

Excelsior is in the midst of change. The college had not invested in technology and fell behind in keeping up with other online institutions. We are now struggling to improve our student services and efficiency as an organization which is causing disruption. The lack of technology resulted in some dysfunction and inconsistancy in the college.

Benefits can be considered good. Generous PTO and flexible working hours (for some professions)

Cons

Majority of time spent is in meetings; less time on collaborating on strategy. There's a culture of viewing your peers as incompetent and unable to perform their job. There are people who walk around with a sense of entitlement. Lack of involvement or mediation from management and HR during times of conflict.
