      Great company with a lot of opportunity.

      Pros

      A lot of information sharing and inclusion, great benefits, very diverse (at least in Houston), plenty of opportunity (you have to go after it), good work-life balance.

      Cons

      A lot of layers in management. While the company supports professional advancement, there can be some lack of guidance. I have detected some 'let's put it off until the next month' mentality in my particular department, but I think you just have to push back a little to get over that.

      Stable and competitive

      Pros

      Exelon has a utility side and a competitive generation side...plus the ubiquitous corporate center functions. The company is generally conservative and stable. Compensation is very competitive with the market based on the particular business unit.

      Cons

      Bureaucracy, as it is in any large organization, can be disheartening depending on the individuals personality and the stated goal of the business unit.

      Working here is great and rewarding

      Pros

      I love working for a company with great pay, benefits and takes care of its employees safety 24/7. It also helps out in donations and volunteering that makes it stand out in the community's it works for making it a better place for all.

      Cons

      I cant find anything but good stuff to say about Comed at Exelon. I want to stay here for a long time. The pros overshadow any minimum cons at Exelon.
