Pros

Exigo recruits based on potential and experience, and provides expert-level training. I knew little to nothing but had an interest and passion. In return, they gave me training in so many programming languages and platforms that are in high demand that I couldn't list it without 250 words. Suffice it to say it could amount to what I would have gotten from an Associates Degree in IT. Hard work is rewarded well at Exigo, so if you put in the effort you will reap the benefits. I worked for two different teams for Exigo and they were filled with awesome people, talented hard-workers, and people I still consider friends. That's not something you get with very many companies.

Cons

Demand for experience and knowledge sometimes outpaces the training and preparation. The company recently grew quite a bit but I think outpaced the demand from clients, placing excessive stress on key departments to meet minimum metrics when work levels didn't allow the team to meet those metrics. The high stress environment is not one I would recommend to disabled veterans or combat veterans with PTSD, as it will only do them harm and not be helpful to the company in the long run. I was happier after being let go because I just wasn't a good match with the high stress environment, seeing my quality and job satisfaction decline, whereas others without my disabilities thrived. I was already considering leaving when my manager took me aside. This is not a fault of the company but the nature of their business.

Pros

This is by far the best company I've worked for in my 20+ year career. Great open collaborated development environments. Regular hackathons, team vs team contests, and other "geek" friendly activities (after work gaming days, free energy drinks handed out in afternoons, ... ). High morale is maintained by frequently added employee perks. Free breakfast and lunches are catered and prepared by dedicated gourmet chef (on premise kitchen and cooking facility currently being built out) Large onsite gym with showers.

Cons

They don't have nap pods (yet).
