Garbage! (Nepotism)

Pros

A constant paycheck and a job

Cons

1. A lot of nepotism within the branch. Way to many family members of leads, managers, supervisors, district managers etc, working at the company. If you don't know somebody chances are you will not go far. Doesn't take a dummy see how management favors their family or extended family with a little research any one can find out very quickly how true this is. 2. To many people in position of power/Management due to the fact of who there mom, dad, uncle or father in law is etc. 3. Creepy old men. Many of the older men who have been with the company 15+ years, are very creepy flirting and making many of the women uncomfortable. especially the younger women, quite disgusting, you can see the discomfort on the women's faces. 4. All the fraternizing within the company it self, which also ends up becoming favoritism 5. A lot of negativity within the branch due to unqualified management, leading to a lot of animosity within the branch. 6. Management does not provide guidance even when sought out. This is when the nepotism kicks in and you can see very quickly who and why others are succeeding over others.

Pros

Good benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision coverage). Fully paid Bus pass (for commuting on Metro and Sound Transit). Option to buy company stock at a slight discount through ESPP. Usually a 40 hour work week (some projects may require overtime and weekend work). Good place for fresh graduates/entry level employees.

Cons

No opportunity for growth for most employees. No system of annual raises. Employees can go for years without receiving a raise. Very uptight environment where fresh ideas and out of the box thinking are not welcomed. If you are obedient and can follow orders and do as you are told to do, you will be OK. Formal dress code - and regular reminders and memo's on what not to wear. Endless memos and communication on what not to do and how to behave - from use of public areas and restrooms to how your desk should be organized. Very autocratic management with enormous egos and a "my way or the highway" attitude. No obvious effort/attempt to motivate employees. No HR department. All issues to be reported to your manager, and if you have an issue with your manager you have no objective, unbiased 3rd party to help employees with any personal/personnel issue resolution. IT/IS employees are not allowed to eat at their desk. All employees (over 300+ employees) must eat in a room designated as a "Cafeteria" that seats less than 100 employees.

Pros

Job security. Free bus pass. It pays the bills, as long as you don't have many of them.

Cons

Where do I start? Have dreams of promotions and climbing the corporate ladder? STAY AWAY! Only way to move up is to be a professional kiss ass. Very old school, slow moving and unexciting. Pay is just enough to keep a roof over your head, as long as that roof is 40 miles outside of the city where housing is cheaper. Management doesn't seem to have to follow the same rules as other employees in terms of coming and going as they please. Employees do all the work and management gets all the recognition. Very stiff environment. MICRO-MANAGEMENT!!!! Huge lack of respect from management towards employees. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
