A good first job, but

Pros

Not sure if it’s a pro, but they hire anybody without prior logistics experience. They provide training (The licensed customs broker program for example) Okay-ish pay, if you’re new in the industry. No Dutch language requirement for most positions. The office and facilities are well maintained.

Cons

Too corporate and not flexible at all (think working from home for example, work life balance, dress code etc) Below average pay and benefits (think yearly bonus, inflation correction etc) Very, very demanding job that will 100% suck the life out of you in a matter of months if you’re not careful, hence the high turnover and sick leave among employees Senior positions are given strictly to the friends of local higher management Again, will suck the life out of you if your work ethic is good

Decent pay, good benefits, get to meet interesting people

Cons

Mandatory overtime in lean months, management is neglectful of employee wellbeing, cliques are common, you WILL be doing other peoples work, training is lax, woefully understaffed, management is unable to set clear expectations and will abuse this to their advantage
