Pros

Fun and open office environment. Lots of events and functions to keep you entertained.

Cons

Far too provincial and immature. Feels like a frat house at times. Disconnected from today's best practices. Nepotism occurs among senior leadership. Not exactly my picture of a meritocracy if you know what I mean. This is more of a job than a career, and the company behaves that way. If you're looking for a serious place with a solid career development track, look elsewhere. Management is too short sighted and profit focused to tackle the employee churn problem. I believe this to be an innate and permanent part of the company's identity, since this problem dates back to the previous decade. Just ask any ex-employee, and this complaint is consistent.

Pros

Leadership of EMS seems to be going in the right direction, growth opportunities, they recognize employees who perform above average levels. Great place to work if you like challenges.

Cons

Lots of long tenured staff that are sometimes very resistant to change, makes it very hard to push through new ideas quickly. Can sometimes get lost in the clutter of a large organization and makes it hard to stand out.

Pros

- good compensation and benefits - flexible work schedule - ethical company, they have good intentions but are so risk-averse that the company gets stuck in neutral while competitors accelerate

Cons

- difficult organization to navigate if you don't know who to go to, too much "decision by committee" - high turnover - too many changes in strategic direction causes confusion
