This company cares little about their people

Pros

There are some really wonderful product managers at this company.

Cons

This company doesn't care how they make the bottom line and they care little about people. They love to do reviews to make themselves look like a nice place to work but it is smoke and mirrors. They care only about the bottom line and they don't care how they get there as long as the money shows up in the right column. They overwork people and it is common practice for people to ask (when they have left the company) how long did you last there...giving the impression that lasting a long time at the company is something of a feat.

Pros

Interesting technology. Almost scary to see how web usage is tracked. A lot of really dedicated people to work with. Benefits were good. I enjoyed seeing the various aspects of email marketing.

Cons

Too many tasks required more time than was scheduled for completion. No support from management when deadlines were unreasonable. The work/life balance seemed to not exist for many of the positions that I interacted with, as well as within my department. Management made some technology decisions that are not working out, and are hurting the brand.

Pros

- Great benefits - Casual attire - Free food occasionally - Flexibility to work from home (depending on your manager)

Cons

- Technology is subpar compared to competitors. Issues always come up and not enough competent tech resources to fix. Always having to apologize to clients for latest tech issues. - Salaries are nowhere near competitive. Published minimums are not honored. Salaries have actually decreased in time. Competitors offer ridiculously higher pay for same jobs. - Massive layoffs in U.S. due to outsourcing to Costa Rica. Staff in Costa Rica is undertrained and unexperienced, with a call center mentality. Employees in U.S. that were not layed off either left on their own, are looking to leave or stayed but extremely unhappy and uncertain about their future. - Layoffs and low office morale starting to affect client relationships. - Management is reactive not proactive, constantly putting out fires. Most mid-level managers are immature and have no real decision making power. Upper management is non-existent due to recent turnover by North America CEO, General Manager and a few VP's. - Company direction changes constantly, creating uncertainty for employees and lack of confidence from clients. - Work/Life balance affected by constant tech issues and understaffing.
