Pros

They offer excellent compensation and benefits. A very generous time off policy with high levels of accrual for FTO. Great for Statisticians and Programmers in that this is the crux of what Experian does. Not so great for the rest of us.

Cons

Getting more bureaucratic all the time. Just trying to get all the supplies and equipment for a new employee requires and Act of Congress it seems.

Pros

Great benefits, awesome co-workers, free food and drink in the kitchen, tons of happy hours (to dull the pain of layoffs)

Cons

Compensation (not competitive compared to industry), excessive outsourcing, the mass amount of work that people who are staying/left over must take on to account for all of the exits/lay offs, lack of culture in the US, poor technology

Formerly great company has gone downhill fast

Pros

Location is close to home. Salaries are pretty good. Many long-time employees are wonderful co-workers with great knowledge and provide great service. Occasional telecommuting allowed by some managers, but not all.

Cons

Terrible management at all levels! Company goals are all very short-term. They only care about cost-cutting with no concern for quality or retaining knowledgeable, valuable employees. Example: in IT, approximately 80-90 percent of very experienced and knowledgeable staff were laid off and replaced with less experienced workers with lower salaries. Many jobs were shifted to other countries or states.
