Pros

It's a corporate job, a 9-5 job, as long as you do what are you asked to do and work well with others, you'll be fine. Probably 4-6 weeks a year, you will be under pressure because of a project deadline, but after that, things should run smoothly. It's been in business for more than 30 years and I can say that's a mature company.

Cons

Because it's a mature company, they have some legacies in place and they are very slow to adopt new technologies, they prefer to work with what have been working in the past.

Pros

Location in Southern California Unique position in industry provides unique opportunity for growth. Range of opportunities in IT available, mainframe & distributed technologies.

Cons

Some groups have been severely impacted by off-shoring. Company seems to be getting top-management heavy. General trend is to migrate IT positions offshore and this has lead to job stability in certain areas. Not enough attention is being paid to core technical competencies, it seems the general skill level is in decline.
