Pros

When contracted to a client, home office is pretty hands-off. Your responsibility is to make sure the client is happy and do your work. Monthly team meetings are generally short and supportive. Mostly good people work here.

Cons

Performance reviews are few and far between. Raises may not occur for years and benefits have degraded over time. 401(K) match was previously slim, but abandoned completely in 2008 for W2 employees. Leadership 'promised' to revisit after the financial crisis settled, but never did. Salaries seem competitive for Kalamazoo area, but are not when compared with industry.
