Pros

Great concept and potential but.....

Cons

... senior management is inconsistent and short sighted. No investment in infrastructure or people. Pockets of discriminatory practices, especially with pay inequity.

Pros

Lovely people (for the most part) Great if you get onto key accounts stable as long as you're hitting all your targets and KPI's Encouraged to join in active social scene If you're lucky you'll bag a lovely manager!

Cons

No clear progression. Depends on targets, KPI, staying late for the sake of it to "give a good impression" and whether they've already promoted a few people and you happened to be too far back in the queue. Very cliquey. Find the cool kids, and pray they like you. You're openly asked to "back pat" and like, share and post things for empty offers of wine and moet from the internal recruiters who can't find staff with relevant experience. It's worse than click bait. Internal turnover on every other team is ridiculously high, average of 2 months if you're lucky. Still owed for a large chunk of comms that were promised would be paid upon leaving. Luckily kept an audit trail so I can contest it legally months and months after I departed....Keep track and evidence of any money owed. "Work late for no reason" attitude. Management and board don't seem to understand that this is actually more of an indication that your staff can't manage their workload properly, and are poorly organising their day if they genuinely have to work late 2 or 3 nights a week...... The "mentor" scheme is a joke. No consideration for character and if they are actually suited to teaching someone, just based on billings and LOS. They don't particularly mentor, just chip in with common sense statements and advice occasionally. Found it rather condescending that those with more experience (in life and recruitment) were being "Mentored" by those with less.

I really appreciate your review, but am disappointed to hear of your negative experience as a former recruitment consultant. Our people, and providing a supportive working culture, are very important to us and I'm sorry to learn that your experience didn't match this. We do find that candidates referred to us from our own employees really fit well with our culture and are knowledgeable about the way our business works, which is why we like to tap into our consultants' excellent network of connections or ask for referrals, to reach potential new talent. Your comment on late payments is of particular concern. I would welcome the opportunity to investigate your situation and kindly ask that you email me via internal.communications@experis.co.uk in order to do so.
