Pros

Salary was reasonable. Recruiter was friendly.

Cons

Worst work experience of entire career. 1) Experis cannot be trusted regarding start day. Which means your salary for the overall project is not your salary really, because you might end up donated days or even weeks to them, because of sitting at home earning nothing during their delays after clearing your calendar for them. Do not trust them on this. Their acting like the delays weren't taking money out of team members pockets was a sign of things to come. 2) Team did not have working computers for almost a week, which was a very big deal given it was an eight week project. There were surreal exchanges during this period where the project manager wanted everyone to take a blood oath that no one would miss their deadlines, despite note having access to the clients systems or even having email. 3) The team manager was thoroughly miserable. The worst manager I've ever been managed by and one of the most disagreeable human beings I have ever crossed paths with. Forgetful but suspicious. It’s one thing if someone is forgetful; there are ways to work with someone who is merely forgetful. But someone forgetful but suspicious? Another thing altogether. Controlling but condescending. Distrustful but lazy. Unfair. Deaf. Unproductive. Rigid. Counter-productive. Unhelpful. Undercutting. 4) Experis agreed to a ridiculous schedule. They got paid, the team got reamed day after day. Schedule was never truly adjusted for delayed start or delayed computer access. Crazy thing is, the project was fairly successful in terms of what it produced. Yet, by only the second or third day, it felt like failure day after day after day. 5) Oh yeah, they can't be trusted about end date either. I was fine, but other team members got cut before their time. Note: Experis is owned by ManPower. Wish I had known this before accepting project (their client was so prestigious, stupidly didn't think twice about accepting).

Only care is to get placement fees

Pros

Provided information to make interview process simple.

Cons

Only care about getting their fees filled, and placement isn't about a good fit. Little to no contact once placed which is surprising with a business that should be trying to get repeat business or at least have contractors stay for full engagement. Local office has bad reputation with contractors and some of the hiring managers I talked with said they did better looking on their own.
