Pros

- work from home - they provide equipment - reimburse $50 of internet and $10 of energy bill. they wanted everyone to have unlimited data (since we test games that are 74 GB and have to download multiple builds every day) - current supervisor is very against webcams

Cons

-webcam on all day every day depending on your supervisor. Some supervisors have been known to yell at you if your webcam is not on the first 5 minutes of the day -minimum wage for a tech position (12.5) -high turnover. 30 people were laid off in December then 4 people were hired each week in the new year. You'll keep having to teach the new people in your group every week as you'll have a new person every week. Then sometimes the new people leave right away or the experienced people get a better job and leave. -promotions are a joke to barely satisfy people staying. promotions give about 25 cent increase on an already low wage. - the bar to get promoted is ridiculous and they never adhere to their words. ie. You may be putting in the most work but not get promoted while someone who is more charismatic will get promoted -crunch time. depending on the point of the game and close to release date, will require mandatory overtime including full days of Saturday Remember, you are only excited to have overtime because your current wage is so low. When in reality, we should be getting higher wages so we don't have to work ourselves to death.

Pros

Leverage with the Manpower name and having been in business for a very long period of time that people are able to associate with in the staffing industry. Some very talented people here that you can learn a lot from and network with.

Cons

Leadership that will attempt to control you in and out of work. They have no problem passing the blame onto employees when things are challenging and being the first ones to take credit with successes. Huge culture of gossip, nepotism and playing favorites in general. Leaders love to call out your short comings publicly in front of others and belittle you to the point that you have minimal self esteem. My manager told us they were doing us a favor of giving 2 weeks of unpaid furlough, talk about being egotistical. Extremely frugal when it comes to technology, took away Salesforce.com to go to MS Dynamics. The sales enablement tools they do have don't even work together so you have to go to individual locations to use them. No accommodation for Covid, still expect you to hit your same numbers despite significant reductions in hiring and layoffs in the global workforce. Lack of transparency at Leadership level, they said they took a pay cut but wouldn't disclose it to the rest of the organization. They haven't provided any work from equipment other than what you had at the office and a 10% discount to go to Office Depot and order extra supplies. Fees are much higher than other competing agencies. Minimal career growth, your best opportunity is to gain more commissions. Extreme lack of diversity & inclusion.

Pros

Good base salary, great benefits, good access to training, room for growth if you're willing to put work above everything else

Cons

'Live to work" environment, recruiting and sales model creates too much internal competition, commissions are not the best. "Volunteering" for extra activities is almost required.
