If you're new to science, there is someone on staff who will explain concepts to you without being condescending. Diversity You can bring your dog to work. Events that combine art and science. Large and friendly staff. Union (for negotiating pay and other benefits)

Cons

The union makes it difficult to let go of employees who are not competent for their position. Depending on your department, you'll have to work weekends.
