Pros

Each office is franchised, so you won't get the same experience. This means some run really well, and can have great teams/job offerings for associates based on region. The trainings are good and thorough.

Cons

Each office is franchised, so you won't get the same experience. There is no uniformity or standards to level out each franchise--each office can run their business how they want to, and thus, you will have offices getting away with some crazy stuff. This can reflect poorly on the reputations of other franchises. If the office brings in money, corporate doesn't care. Your franchise owner isn't required to offer benefits, and you can't get them through corporate. The associates working have better benefits than us.

Pros

You don’t need experience which is nice, just a good attitude and needs to be professional.

Cons

Owners are very tough on you. Just do your job and you should be okay. I have definitely cried here from high stress. Crazy busy all the time and lots to do. Get some experience working here then move on

Pros

Depends on location, the McNaughten Center one has none

Cons

Please be aware that every Express is privately owned and every Express can vary widely on how its ran. I worked at the one near Reynoldsburg/Columbus Ohio and was only there for 3 days when I resigned due to the female owner using retaliation & passive aggressive tactics & behaviors. In my “performance review” she tried to make me feel bad for not working through my lunch, taking breaks or for accidentally taking a snack that was hers among other petty/illegal issues. She does not seek to uplift her employees rather make them apologize endlessly and adding more fuel to the fire, she is not there to teach but rather oppress for very minuscule problems if at all accidents at best. Expectations in regards to phone usage, break policy or phone etiquette among others were not set since day 1 and I was treated with aggression rather than kindness for the smallest of mistakes. Overall, I could go on about the horrors I saw in my 3 day tenure but please do your research on the specific Express that you’re interested in working in and make sure you look into how associates were treated during their visit alongside management behavior, it speaks volumes that this is the only Express that will pay people $5 to leave fake good reviews on their Google reviews.
