Salary was not bad, severance package in accordance to the legislation. Several very knowledgeable folks and nice folks within my region.
Cons
Came here through Brocade assets acquisition and man what a change. Local and regional team totally lack long term vision, ambitions to grow and go big. The very first thing we were told, that all the projects we were working on (managed to carry over quite a few, given how tough pre-acquisition times were) "did not fit the company profile". Go sale Wi-Fi, they said. What said was done: one way or another folks managed to get rid of al of us, former Brocadians, myself being asked to leave last. Same goes with all opportunities and pretty much all existing customers of former Brocade - former Brocade equipment sales are reduced to zero. Is this the right way to leverage the new products and people?! Apparently company is full of politics and local "us vs them" attitude. Very toxic environment, hypocrisy in every word managing bodies say. What makes me especially angry is that whole ex-Brocade teams are getting gradually decimated, sales drop abruptly, but no one in the upper management cares enough to find out the reasons! Is this a case of myopia or is some tacit agreement between upper and mid management in place? No idea. I'm certainly glad that my turn to be fired has come and I leave the company almost light hearted. My deep sympathies to the former Brocade customers as you, guys, are not going to be treated well. Also I'll be missing my fellow engineers.
