As long as you can handle the politics, 50 pages of HR policies, and managers monitoring your every move including trips to the bathroom, you could survive there. And managers in meetings have requested employees post positive comments on message boards because of the fact that large numbers of candidates are turning down offers from Extron
Cons
General unhappy atmosphere, enforcement of policy against some but not others, favoritism, and having to call your manager if you are going to be 1 minute late
There's overtime pay for some projects if you don't mind putting more working hours. As an engineer I still have to clock in/out. That's good and bad. Good thing is I just work the minimum 40 hrs/week most of the time. Bad thing is you are required to stay full 40 hrs/week. Luckily my boss is not picky on working hours.
Employees get 20% off dining at the ranch restaurant, owned and run by CEO/president.
Cons
pathetic benefits, even insulting for the Xmas "gift", max out at $150 pretax after 5 years. other than that nothing.
HR used to put "up to and including termination" at the end of every announcement.
