Pros

-Stable job: private company with little competition -Most People are wonderful. Own department team as well as project team feels like working with family and friends -high pace environment; always busy with quick to market products -rewarding to see projects/products become finished goods -decent pay, won't low ball on hiring but won't overpay either. HR is honest. -products are interesting and innovative for the AV market -Great place to start your career and learn immensely on how a manufacturing and design company works in the real world from college, on the reverse spectrum, great for end of career to settle down for a steady job. -Most NPI Manufacturing in United States.

Cons

-Salary employees must clock in/out like hourly employees. Working hours are highly monitored by HR and is the main engagement of employee review. While at first this sounds like a small thing, overtime I believe it impacts the overall employee happiness; due to always worrying to make sure you put in at least your 80 hours for the 2 weeks. Where you may work 90 hours but the second you slip below 80 and it's a red flag. -HR holds all of the power. They'll let you go if they see fit and essentially have the final say over any matter brought on by managers. While this does not happen often, it definitely can and I've seen a good amount of people get let go. HR Gives the impression that managers don't hold any power to get what they want or need -Salary Raises are very small. -Company is not too small, but not too big; which results to constant process changes every few months which are undocumented and never set in stone -Politics amongst managers and up create confusion to employees on what should and should not be done. Always damn if you do, or damn if you don't. This escalates from manager, director, and VP -departments are isolated due to company process. This is both good and bad because the company tries to rely solely on the company process to dictate who does what work, how, and when. This also leads to departments not working well together because of the mentality of not my responsibility not my problem. Creates road blocks to getting long term goals accomplished. -no room for personal and departmental growth. Managers and above hold their position and no new divisions or groups are created. Company is at a steady state for growth which results in a benefit of being stable but no room for growth. You will essentially stay in your position forever unless someone leaves. Which brings to the point of great for beginning/ending your career.

Pros

The paychecks clear. That's about the only positive thing I can say.

Cons

Where do I begin... Every minute of your life is monitored and accounted for including restroom usage. There is no room for advancement. Management is archaic. The product line is stale and not innovative. Very cult like atmosphere. Honestly, if you can wait for another job ANYWHERE else I would take it. I am actively planning my escape from this career death trap.
