Extremely Poor Working Environment

Pros

If you keep your head down, work lots of free overtime, and are satisfied working without bonuses, raises, or other perks, you might keep your job.

Cons

Everyone punches a time clock and is treated like an hourly employee, except that salary people are expected to work 45 to 50 hours per work. Employees are watched very closely and will be called out if they are perceived to be taking too many breaks, talking too much, or making personal phone calls. There have been several layoffs since I joined the company. They are usually used to just get rid of people and hire replacements. People have been fired because they had medical issues, family members with medical issues, or because the company found someone willing to work for less money.

Pros

i can't think of one pro. it was difficult working there

Cons

They pay way lower than market median salary You will never get a raise more than 3% You will never got to become upper management unless you kiss few asses on the way there You have to "swipe" in and out and flexibility is not an option It is like a prison in there Can't voice new ideas. They get either rejected or stolen. HR is the boogeyman...or the boogeywomen in that sense!

Pros

Good starting pay for the work you do. Co-workers for the most part are easy to get along and bond with. Recommended for new college graduates to gain experience in the work force. Great customer service becuase the employees actually care and feel good to provide the service, when it is appreciated.

Cons

Great customer service sometimes comes at the expense of the employee. High stress environment because management expects you to do everything at once, drop important projects to help with customers with minor problems because they've been waiting 2 minutes (refer to first sentence). Not enough empoyees to handle the volume of work but they just expect you to do it. Was told during the interview that the company does not have birthday celebrations but management has exclusive cake parties. Only time I see people being promoted are either upper management moving to a higher level or an employee threatens to quit before they present them a promotion package. Raises are scarce even though the owner spent over 30 million dollars of his own money to build a brand new building, top of the line restaurant and saloon with high quality equipment (office building for the most part isn't even half filled). Salary based employees can work hours of non-paid overtime but expect you to clock in exactly ontime the next day. Force you to attend a mandatory Christmas luncheon, if not attended diciplinary actions maybe be taken, to have the owner toot his horn about how great he is and that he gives power to the HR department that everyone in the company fears. Upper management his hypocritical and does not lead by example to lower level employees but always expects the employee to dedicate themselves. There is a problem when employees complain about their position almost everyday.
