Pros

+ Competitive salary up to recent years (75th percentile and above). + Internal transfers/opportunities prevalent across all aspects of business (e.g. technical to commercial).

Cons

- Pay structure is very rigid. Middle management have no say in pay negotiations; all up to HR ultimately. - Middle management are parachuted into entirely different departments and crafts, leading to supervisors/managers that speak without technical depth and understanding. - Leadership grooming based on "who's the best at their engineering job?", which leads to managers who are good at entry level technical craft, rather than trained in leadership doctrines and people management. - No meritocracy: when times are tough, everyone gets penalized, no incentives for those keeping the company afloat. - Next to no opportunities to negotiate compensation. Due to high attrition rates, engineers have to take double roles, but salary remained frozen.

Pros

A lot of good engineering knowledge though a lot of it has been taken away in the past 1 year.

Cons

Despite company coming back into profits, we are still seeing layoffs and a lot of attrition yet the company is still freezing hiring. Workload has increased but pay and benefits have either froze or been cut.

Pros

Good starting pay. Free coffee.

Cons

No increment over past few years but workload+responsibility kept increasing. Low work live balance. High turnover rate. Little to no foreign assignment possibility in recent years.
