Favourable rankings and promotions are given out to friends and those who fawn to their boss. Unless you’re line manager is in your corner you won’t get anywhere. Pity those whose line manager changes several times in a few years, they won’t get anywhere in the organisation except to finish in the bottom third of the forced ranking process. Once there, you’ll never recover as management favours their sycophants.
