Company has the assets, financial backing and expertise to do almost anything you can imagine in the oil and gas space. Great benefits and potential for great opportunities. Truly an outstanding company overall. Company is managed with great discipline (pro and cons, see cons).

Cons

Company is managed with great discipline, holding to management styles of previous generations. No widespread flexible work schedules (at least when I left in 2015), and work is piled on to keep people at 100-110% workload, deepening on individual ability. Career opportunities and direction were decided behind closed doors with limited employee direction. Meant that while they took great care of you, they would want you to move on a whim when they needed you to, not always to places you wanted to go.

Cons

Inept supervision and management. Too many advancements on who you know, not what you know and experienced ignored. Biased appraisals, all preconceived. Safety culture only when it suits. Too much rushing of situations and afterthoughts for procedures. Sound bites, no real intent, skirts around issues.
