Genuine job-for-life approach, with long term career progression and employee development. Good salary and pension (still as of Jan 2020 final salary which is almost unheard of these days).

Cons

You are "posted" to a new job, rather than applying for it. Think of it more like being in the army. You have an influence over your next job, but not exactly a say. This has worked fine for me, it's probably not for everyone though
