Pros

Collaborative team culture with high-impact opportunities. F5 Distributed Cloud leverages the extensive BIG-IP customer base, positioning the company for significant profitability.

Cons

Leadership struggles with scalable delivery, resulting in chaotic releases and excessive 'keeping the lights on' activities. Cross-team dependencies create unpredictable timelines, while fundamental SaaS capabilities remain absent. Product management lacks either a cohesive vision or commitment to it. Constantly shifting priorities labeled as 'urgent' lead to confrontation when engineering raises concerns and creating lose-lose scenarios. Rather than ruthlessly prioritizing to deliver superior, focused solutions, product management attempts to match competitors feature-for-feature, sacrificing quality for breadth.

Pros

Excellent benefits. Historically F5 has been a great place to work and build a career.

Cons

Over the past few years, the company has become increasingly difficult to work for. Two years without annual raises, bonuses and stock grants cut.
