Cons

In my opinion it was a hostile and negative work environment Everyone was out for themselves Lack of vision or empathy from the management People were afraid to communicate with each other People who should have been let go where kept on and moved around There was no career growth - it was very male and senior top heavy They pay below market for any job which is not sales related They talk a big game they do not back up their values

F5 Networks -- The diamond still in the rough

Pros

F5 is a successful mid-size enterprise offering sought after solutions for secure application delivery. They boast highly skilled and experiences professionals throughout the world working within development, research, sales and more. Their product mix is exciting - with cloud, security, network solutions.

Cons

F5 has become a culture of nepotism and nefarious behavior that is driven from and rewarded by those in powerful positions. Several leaders exhibit hostile behaviour towards others within their organization or beyond. Hostility is generally used as a means to get what wants in terms of power, practice, policies or plans. If you are thinking of being a part of the team outside of sales, and do not tend to fit into the "old boy's environments" common in tech, look elsewhere. No matter what you do or how good you may be, or what you achieve for F5, you will never be allowed to fit in -- and that alone will make your experience very uncomfortable. Leadership also tends to insert itself where its not needed creating confusion and polarizing teams. I have never worked in such a more hostile, stressful environment before. The good people are smothered by the bad.
