      Great company to work for

      Pros

      Open door policy, an intern can walk in a director's office and ask questions. Good organization between teams, good benefits, ability to move within the company provided you stay at least one year in a position.

      Cons

      No good systems to lead interns into a permanent position, each team gets a headcount for each quarter and it is up to the intern and to luck to find an adequate job offer and go for it.

      Growth challenges ahead affecting current company

      Pros

      Company has good technology. People and culture overall, are very personable and good. There are some very smart folks working at the company. F5 is a market leader for a reason, though that remains to be seen as the company transitions with new management. The current expansion phase into other markets such as security and other non-ADC technologies is distracting from the core F5 capabilities and strengths.

      Cons

      F5 is going through a growth transition. There are internal struggles to understand what technologies to focus on, and what vertical markets to target. Power struggles exist between the product development, product management, and marketing organizations on strategy and execution. Overall strategy is not clear moving forward.
