Pros

A lot of really smart people work there and you learn quite a bit. Free coffee

Cons

Too much office politics and out-of-control egos.

Pros

F5 Networks is a truly global company with exceptional people. The products are great, particularly so in comparison to any competitive solutions available on the market. Based on what I've seen so far, I expect nothing but strong growth in all product fields in the future. An exceptional CEO Management approval of 97% here on glassdoor is something you also feel internally. Just listen to any John McAdams speech or comment and you'll get why everybody likes him. Cooperation between different company departments is very good. I highly recommend F5 Networks as a great company to work for, offering personal freedom for development and recognizing and rewarding commitment. By the way, people at F5 work hard, but they also know how to party!

Cons

Honestly, nothing really that I could think of. I just have to observe the 20 word minimum of glassdoor.com. Well, I'd like to highlight that everybody at F5 was very welcoming to me as a new employee, but that's just another positive aspect of the company.

Still a solid company, and growing, but facing challenges on execution

Pros

Good management team at home office and Regional management is strong on the sales side. Strong core technologies and good foundation to add other security and network elements that should make for easier cross sell and up sell. Good benefits and corporate culture.

Cons

Overall marketing strategy is a bit muddled. Trying to be a security company without putting enough effort into that space to instantiate that claim despite the strength of the products (in addition to core abilities for its load balancers). Products are solid, but support on some of the core products are not where they should be for a company this mature. Sales growth, or desire to maintain it, causes changes in regional positions and inside sales efforts and focus is in need of fixing and overhaul. Pro services team is strong but understaffed and stretched. Channel program is good, but could use some tweaking on details.
