Pros

The company has great products, great vision for where technology and our lives are headed in the long run and how our solutions can help organizations optimize performance and simplify visibility and management of applications and data traffic. The organization has a great can-do attitude and culture of continuous innovation, learning and improvement. The Seattle office is in a great location, equipment with quality facilities and equipment needed to do a good job, as well as work in a fun and relaxed work environment. The management team has long tenure in the company, they know most people personally and they project an aura of confidence and fun, which makes its mark on the entire organization.

Cons

The company is somewhat rigid on telecommuting and flexible work hour policies. F5 has also developed a comprehensive global footprint in various US states as well as overseas. at times it feels there work processes and communication aren't completely synchronized across those different locations.

Pros

F5 is highly customer and employee focused. For it's employees, F5 goes to great lengths to make going to work each day, the very best it can be. Benefits and pay are among industry best and work/life balance are very much part of the fabric of day to day operations. For it's customers, F5 builds and maintains positive relationships with its customers and often goes above and beyond when the customer needs support or assistance. The key here, is a fine balance between maintaining realistic expectations while also providing world class customer support.

Cons

F5 can get bogged down in "big corporation" processes. This is likely do to ongoing and consistent growth.

Pros

I get to make important decisions and feel I have a real voice in what happens at F5. I’m given lots of freedom to do my job, but there’s always help when I need it. I feel appreciated for what I do and am fairly compensated. We also have great benefits.

Cons

Because we haven’t stopped growing, sometimes there are challenges with other parts of the company trying to catch up, but in the last year or so, a lots been to done to take care of those departments that were understaffed.
