Pros

Overall culture of the company is great compared to some other bigger companies in Bay Area. Has to do a lot with company headquarters being in Seattle. No typical Bay Area politics or BS. People obey what they say and discuss issues upfront. Company is doing great projects to improve its stake in security and analytics market. Work life balance is good. Can get a little busy during development phase of release which is pretty standard anywhere else.

Cons

No lunch provided on site but kitchen all fully stocked on snacks and drinks. This will save company a lot of lunch hrs. Need more office space as a lot of people are getting hired lately.

Pros

Make some pretty good money. Benefits are pretty solid. Commute in is easy and the company comp's you for almost the entire cost of commuting. HR and CorpOps are very active promoting culture and continually enhancing the work environment. Work can be stimulating depending on who you work with and for. There are a lot of smart people to chat about various networking things with. Many people have been there 7+ years. I guess that says something about the company in general.

Cons

Line management really needs to be connected or else you get into situations where nobody provides any guidance. Feels like a company full of people with Asperger syndrome. Many engineers with senior titles have just been promoted from the support org; they're not trained engineers. Office feels like a bank with the outdated padded walls and individual cubes. Middle management also can stop being so insistent that you be in your chair from 9 to 5. For a place that is seriously limited in office space they should leverage remote working more often than they do.
