Pros

Quite a few good smart engineers and the product itself is interesting to work on. The company has had strong growth and provides above average benefits.

Cons

Extremely week engineering management from the Director Level and up. Much is run by those who have grown up with the company but they have failed to grow their management skills and so all the teams suffer. Use of a date engineering process has been less than successful.

Pros

Benefits are okay. There are a few bright people as well.

Cons

Worst codebase I've seen. Often picking the wrong tool for the job. Perl is blooming, Python is frowned upon. C modules having more than 30K lines of code. Lacking documentation. Bug-oriented development. GCC4.1 in 2014.

Pros

Good technology to learn, well defined MBOs help in evaluating employees, excellent benefits.

Cons

Open bias against ex Cisco employees, lot of politics between San Jose and Seattle office.
