Pros

Great relaxed culture where people are supportive and helpful. People are friendly, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and get help from when needed. This has been the experience with other new hires as well in other groups. I get a mentor and plenty of support from my team and manager. As long as you are productive and able to do your job well the work load is fair and enables you to have a balanced life. Compensation: salary, benefits and time off is generous and above industry average.

Cons

There doesn't seem to be a clear path to career develop like training etc., but that is pretty much the case everywhere. You need to drive your career no matter where you are.

I think you will be excited to see the new 70-20-10 Professional Development Plan that is being launched this fall. It will be a great guide that helps you "invest in yourself" by identifying and then developing the skills and knowledge that make you more valuable. Keep your eye on the learning & development calendar for upcoming classes.

Pros

Traffic handling code is amongst the most mature and interesting in the business. Lots of latitude to work on what interests you. Smart and hard working dev team, but you're not expected work yourself to the bone.

Cons

Project planning is still maturing as the company has been growing a lot recently. Some of the internal systems and infrastructure are not supported well enough and can become a hindrance by slowing down constantly.

Pros

Great benefits are the number one reason to work here. 90/10 health care, decent dental and eye benefits, and good amount of time off (18 the first year then 20 up till year 5, then 25+), Beer fridays, decent off work activities.

Cons

Big company bureaucracy, each business group feels like separate company, not extremely family oriented (though somewhat understandable given the logistics.)
