Pros

To be honest there wasn't anything that I considered to be a pro. In the process of working at this company, I made a handful of good loyal friends which is probably what kept me at this company for as long as it did. If I could give them a zero I would, however, i am forced to give them a star, but in essence, they are exactly what you DONT want in a company especially if you are ambitious and hard working.

Cons

Racism is oozing from every corner of this company, that being said if you are coloured or cultured in any way you will likely be rejected by management in a subtle way because they like to parade our American executives and big shots from head office through the office and loudly proclaim we pride ourselves on diversity. The harder you work the more they take advantage of you (they will ask you to stay for overtime and will forget to tell you that you get a premium for working past a specific time - which cannot be corrected by management thereafter) They don't frown on time off they just don't give it to you, you practically have to beg (a friend was asked if she could change the date of her Engagement Party as it didn't work with the scheduling) Even if it is approved they won't tell you directly, you will hear from another one of your colleagues that the manager plays favourites with (because those are a dime a dozen and everyone loves to talk) They will offer you contract after contract and will make promises about providing benefits and giving you a raise which never actually materializes (they will give you a review and only say positive things but they will use excuses like we haven't call coached you enough to make a decision - thisis even if you ask for call coaching) Also they tend to forget when your contract is up and tell you to come in even when your contract is up (they drag on providing you with a new one because that locks them in and they have commitment issues, however be sure that a couple weeks of you harassing them in regards to the status of your employment you will get a piece of paper saying that all terms remain the same and they tried really hard to get you more (which they didn't even attempt - I verified this with my managers boss as well) They ask that you come to them with ideas for their official Kaizen company initiative however if on contract they will likely say that your idea doesn't work, isn't good or rarely will like your idea and take it without giving you any credit whatsoever. Final thing is that in the Hamilton office there are 3 floors of employees, but don't expect to keep anything you say between you and your direct coworkers or your manager (if you do go to them in confidence) as this company is plagued with highschool drama - managers included. Half of the employees are related to each other or have their jobs because they are best friends with a managers daughter or they actually are the manager's daughter/son so there will be bias on absolutely everything.
