Pros

Ever since joining FDM as a trainee in 2009 I have been offered fantastic opportunities. I have been given the chance to work both on client site as a software tester and in house at FDM as an academy trainer. I have found FDM to be very good at recognising strong performance. I have been rewarded in the past with offers of additional responsibility and exciting projects to work on. I did find these extra tasks challenging but they have allowed me to develop new skills and gain fantastic experience. I have learnt a great deal through working for FDM and they have really allowed me to build the foundations of my career in IT. Without FDM I am not sure where I would have ended up after graduating University.

Cons

In my experience I have nothing negative to say about FDM. I have always enjoyed working there and they have always treated me well.

Good training provided to equip you before being sent to client sites Top client exposure is a plus for CV You dont have to search for jobs as dedicate account managers are there to help you

Cons

Very low salary Treated like product rather than a person/employee Depending on the economic climate finding a placement can take a while Some of the training is self

Pros

*Good to be taken seriously as a woman in IT *London office is nice, and good location

Cons

Looking at other reviews, I'm afraid I can't really add much new to the mix *Low morale - general sense of unease in the London office that opportunities are few. This could just be due to trading conditions *Poor level of training - I did not expect to have such little instructor feedback *No communication - It's hard to know what's really going on, except for the inspirational speech at the party, which makes me wonder if the management are talking about the same company. *Dismissals - what's the point in being the largest IT graduate recruiter if half of people 'leave by mutual agreement' or get sacked?
