Pros

Transparent with what is expected. Great opportunities with established institutions. Each opportunity is different but in my personal experience I was offered an opportunity within my placement company. The compensation from the new role more than made up for the initial contracted compensation.

Cons

Experiences may vary based on placement/locations. Compensation is not adjusted based on placement location so it is possible you maybe in an area where the cost of living is high. Some coworkers had expressed this concern, but based on personal experience these were not applicable to my situation. Ended up very happy on both accounts.
