Good prospects but a lot of uncertainty
Pros
1) Great training provided including in-demand skills, although pretty fast-paced so might not be suitable for some 2) Trainers are professional and willing to help out 3) Work with clients mainly in the financial industry including high-profile clients 4) Potential conversion with clients after 2 yrs for a significant pay increase 5) Great for fresh graduates or those without IT / Tech background to get into the industry
Cons
1) Limited opportunities available and typically roles that are not relevant to what you were trained in 2) Low salary, overall salary as a consultant is quite low compared to similar companies. Training salary is low but fair considering you're getting paid to train. However, if there's a lack of opportunities available, you'll be underpaid until you start placement or only the basic salary if you are waiting for another placement. 3) Lack of communication and transparency from account managers. A lot of opportunities didn't go through even after applying and lack of updates about the outcomes
