- Interesting organization - Perks such as going to FDNY functions & fires - The FDNY staff that are firefighters (working in HQ) are very welcoming, respectful and helpful. - Good leadership - Generally pleasant environment - Happy people - Very unique organization that cannot be duplicated - Real pride to be working there

- Shifting to a paid position is difficult -If you do, pay is very low for a civilian
