Pros

if you can dodge and happy to be pressured into additional hours nearly all the time, you can pickup some skills. And if location and pay works for you. If you can get a bonus it can be good, and offset some of the unpaid oncall and lots of additional hours. Forcing many back to the office which makes little sense when no one else in team is.

Cons

Constant reorg and teams gone overnight and no client support, makes the numerous apps and growing onboards hard to manage. Poor monitoring and devops teams do not hand over, upgrades often mistakes made by non familar teams.

Pros

Came in as an intern and loved my first boss who believed in me and even accepted my salary negotiation. He ended up leaving and I got the worst boss ever; he makes Lucifer look like a saint.

Cons

A week before my first boss left, I believe the replacement boss began his tactics to get me fired, conspiring with the business operations' staff, marketing staff and maybe even other staff. I believe my salary acceptance by my old boss influenced the attack. I believe a few people were not happy that I would be making more than them. He couldn't even wait for my old boss to leave. I'm not sure what he and the other staff told my first boss, but he (my first boss) didn't even say goodbye. The new boss would then begin to give me assignments with "funny" instructions and exclude me from other assignments/meetings overall. I became extremely depressed and began not performing at my best. I immediately wanted to leave because his actions were just so weird and brutal. I also presented an assignment for a leadership project and believe that project was taken apart by my boss, the other staff and intern program staff to where they presented parts of my suggestion as their own work. I was very sad about this as I was very excited to learn from this opportunity and grow with the company from coming in as an intern. If I could do it again, I would have never accepted the full-time offer. I was given another boss out of nowhere a few weeks ago. My current boss is wayyyyyyyy better, but the six months I lost of not getting valuable experience still hurts me and caused emotional damage. Thank God for therapy. At one point I wished I would have never negotiated my salary just to get great hands-on experience in cybersecurity as a newbie to the industry. God begged to differ and informed me that I was worth every cent and to not let insecure personalities get me down. I always believe in the good in people, and I'm learning to not be so naive. I wish I felt comfortable to go to HR about my experience, but from previous experience with other companies, HR is not your friend. Through learning from online HR consultants, I'm more prepared for experiences like this in the future.
