Pros

The initial legacy company culture was strong, with a deep well of technical talent and long-term industry expertise.

Cons

The acquisition/transition process was handled poorly regarding long-term employees. While many colleagues received full severance packages, others were moved to the new entity, effectively nullifying years of earned benefits and security. The lack of consistency in how these packages were distributed felt arbitrary and disregarded decades of loyalty.

Pros

Work life balance was alright as I was remote until laid off. Most people were required to return to office, so I believe the balance has gotten a bit worse.

Cons

Salaries lag behind industry. Poor leadership that doesn't follow through with promises. A lot of jobs are being eliminated in favor of contractors.
