Couldn't have asked for a better job opportunity
Pros
I work in the Pekin, IL (US) location, which is the only manufacturing branch in the company. I love the small atmosphere (under 100 employees) and it's great how well everyone works together on a typical day. There has been no turnover since I have been employed here (less than a year), and my managers have stressed how little turnover this location has had in general--which is almost unheard of these days. I have never experienced better direction from an immediate supervisor before. There is truly a compassion for the employees at FLSmidth, and it makes coming to work every day a very easy thing to do.
Cons
I honestly can't think of any real cons that come with employment at FLSmidth. The only thing I could really think of is since turnover is almost non-existent, job openings are very rare. This could be inconvenient for someone wanting to join the FLSmidth team--but just for the record--that does not hinder the ability to move around within the company once already employed.
