Pros

Market-focused company with strong portfolio and geographical diversification due to recent acquisition should help company weather current market and currency downturns. Good ethical employees who work hard.

Cons

No significant Cons. FMC is currently focused a great deal on integrating the new acquired company into the Agricultural business as well as overcoming the current market and currency downturn, which means that there is less emphasis on its other business lines and people. Career progression is slow, but hard work and good results are recognized by the team and management.

Strong diversification of portfolio and geography should help company weather current market and currency downturns. Strategic and tactical vision is relatively stable and well communicated. Contributors in my department were recognized and well rewarded. There was a strong sense of community.

Pros

FMC provided me and others with some great personal growth opportunities. I worked with FMC for over 25 years, which is not at all uncommon at FMC. FMC values its employees while at the same time is focused on execution of its business strategies.

Cons

All career growth eventually leads through Philadelphia. Also, FMC is currently focused a great deal on integrating Cheminova into the Agricultural business, which means that there is less emphasis on developing its other business lines. The importance of those business lines is somewhat diminished during this period.
