Pros

Lots of great talent. Great opportunities to stretch your wings and build your skills. If you are a junior developer this is a great place to learn. If you are a mid tear developer, this is a great place to become a senior developer, but with great risk as you may have hard to break habits that may not be appreciated by the company. If you are a Sr developer (ie FNC is courting you as a SR Devleoper) this is a great place to mentor.

Cons

The management team from the lead developer upward have no Idea how to lead, manage or run a company Ask your manager how you can improve and you will get "your doing fine", Then they fire you for no reason. The company has no clue how to control expenses. They have a history of cutting salaries and benefits and laying employees off when they don't meet their profit goals. All they see is how they want to grow have no good plan on how to get there. The company is full of politics and personal agenda's. Any manager can call for the resignation for any employee, even those that do not report to him. Rub someone the wrong way or irritate someone because of your personality quarks and you are gone. Its like walking on egg shells and not knowing who is judging you and why. Road infrastructure is horrible in Oxford. Housing is way to expensive due to the college. Every local company builds its profits by taking advantage of the college students. Local residents have higher cost of living due to the college.

Pros

If you lack skills, experience, or capabilities you will most likely get promoted. If you have a bad personality you can just befriend the senior management and stay forever.

Cons

This is a poorly managed, poor performing sleepy town company with unreasonable expectations of grandor. They are losing the most talented employees and retaining the ones that fit into their backyard bbq culture. As a result they are failing as a company. They went through a massive hiring spree bringing many new people to town, then had a huge layoff. They cut pay across the board and cut benefits. They are paying for the poor management and complete lack of vision from the head management.
