      Large Employer with a small Family Approach

      Pros

      In my 30-plus year property management career I've had the opportunity to work for both small and large, national companies. I've seen firsthand the benefits and shortcomings of both. Of course, we all know that our own experience at any given company has a lot to do with your inner circle and how well-connected you feel, are your contributions recognized and appreciated. I can honestly say that my experience at FPI for the last 12 years has been overwhelmingly positive and enjoyable. I do feel like my group is an extension of my family.

      Cons

      We have been blessed with lots of organic growth, this does stretch our capacity in certain regions. As we absorb new portfolios, we all feel the pinch or growing pains.

      Slight flexibility with time off request.

      Cons

      This is my own personal experience: CD will demand you to come work during the weekend (your days off) when the leasing consultant calls out. CD doesn’t have the decency to even ask. CD will make you do their job and treat you like you’re their personal assistant. CD is never present, even when she’s physically there. CD retaliates.
