Use as stepping stone, not career.

Pros

Can get you a foot in the door at federal government positions, can be great work experience. Use as a stepping stone, not a career. There is a 2.5% 401K match, which isn't a lot but it is something!

Cons

Not great pay- there's no promotion or pay raise potential. They also make you use your own leave for snow days, which is ridiculous because each contract was already allocated that money for that day and it is a government shut down.

Pros

Current supervisor is easily accessible

Cons

Lack of communication from top leadership, 401k employer matched benefits halted. Pay raises null and void. Advancement is hard to come by even after a lengthy tenure. Some PTO days were taken away after new contract went unto place. Retired government employees come in making more money than those who have been with the company for over 15 years.
