Pros

Good projects, ability to develop multiple skill-sets, typically no conflicts of interest as would arise in a Big 4 environment

Cons

Constant travel, and need for face time as expected in the consulting industry which can take a toll one's personal life

Pros

The work changes pretty consistently, so it remains interesting. In my office, management does not micro-manage and good work is generally rewarded.

Cons

The primary aspect of my job that I dislike is that the work load is not consistent. There are some weeks that are very slow and others that demand all of your time. It is often not possible to know in advance when you will be busy and when you will be slow.

Pros

FTI offers great experience in terms of learning how to deal with difficult clients on complex problem. FTI will challenge employees to think analytically and creatively to solve problems. The culture is fantastic.

Cons

The hours are often times very long. Typically, employees travel four days a week. The career path needs to be laid out more clearly.
