Pros

- Free lunch Monday - Thursday - Snacks in the office - Nice environment, the culture with other employees at my level is what is keeping me here - Old tech stack, but moving to new technologies. - Good work life balance, can work from home.

Cons

- Little career progression, all opportunities go to those in the american offices - It's supposed to be a "global" company, but it's really an american company with offices elsewhere in the world - A medium sized company struggling to transition into a large company. This is evident from hiring freezes and budget cuts (fruit was downgraded recently). - Paid well as a graduate, but underpaid compared to competitors in the industry. - No bonusses, promotions seem to be related to tenure rather than achievement.

Pros

Excellent training program Tons of time to learn at your own rate Opportunities to grow (although you'll notice not everyone there is trying to do this)

Cons

There are many non-career oriented people. Some people like this culture, but I prefer to surround myself with highly motivated and driven colleagues. You may have a lot of self-directed time, some people cannot handle this well.

Pros

Really couldnt be more smitten with this company after 9 months. The pay is great. There is an emphasis on recruiting smart but friendly people. The company is constantly focused on taking care of you. Immediate opportunity to grow your career.

Cons

Really the only cons I can think of are: People don't know the company yet, so telling your friends you work for Factset requires an explanation. Even though we're a top 100 place to work in America for like 8 years in a row. Also I work in Norwalk and Im not a big fan of the location. But its not as bad as I assumed and there are opportunities for me to move to NY, Austin, and San Francisco.
