Pros

The only glimmer of hope is the potential to work with a good team

Cons

1) Layoffs in 2023 2) Below par market compensation 3) Shifted Compensation Cycle/Promotion Cycle 4) Inadequate HR Policies 5) Meager Employee Benefits 6) Preference to hire people externally instead of letting people grow organically into the same role (Even though that person is already skilled enough) 7) Frequent business/tech transformations in past 2 years at vertical level

Pros

The people (some of them) Great partners Sample sales

Cons

They say "we’re a family" - they just forgot to mention it’s the kind you avoid. The new leadership lacks direction and a clear understanding of the business. Morale dropped as priorities kept shifting with no long-term vision, leaving many unsure of where the company is actually headed. Also, don’t be fooled by the unscripted, “authentic” videos they share. It’s just a façade that doesn’t reflect the reality inside.

Pros

Despite the management issues, the individual engineers in the India office are incredibly sharp and hardworking. You’ll learn a lot from your teammates just trying to survive the chaos together.

Cons

The work-life balance at Fanatics India is non-existent. As a Senior Engineer, I saw three major restructures in three years, which keeps the team in a constant state of "firefighting" and prevents any real domain mastery. You are moved around so often that you’re always playing catch-up on your own personal time. The culture here is built on a fundamental double standard. US teams strictly refuse to meet during their night hours, citing that they "start their day early." The irony is that Indian engineers also start their days early—we have families, commutes, and lives too—but our boundaries are completely ignored. HR is spineless and won't track these hours, and local leadership is too intimidated by the US to stand up for us. They think a "late start" the next morning fixes everything, but it doesn't compensate for the fact that they are stealing your nights. We aren't just "resources" available 24/7; we are humans with lives outside of this job. Don't let them convince you otherwise.
