      There's free coffee . . .

      Cons

      Owners are trying to sell, but know they need to clean up balance sheet before that's possible. The only way to clean it up is to shut down or spin-off failing properties. (ProFarmer, TPEN, Database) Jobs are inevitably eliminated when this occurs.

      Pros

      There is a lot of innovation and opportunity at Farm Journal. The company embraces thought out risk taking and doesn't penalize failure if a well thought out effort. People are good people here--family values and integrity .

      Cons

      The pace can be chaotic trying to develop maybe too many new things to counter-act the long farming recession.

      Pros

      After working here for a number of years, I have seen a lot. I can attest that Farm Journal truly appreciates its employees. The company has a real family feel, yet aggressive chases its business goals and rewards employees who help attain those.

      Cons

      Tough market right now, but find that in almost any industry - ups and downs of the market.
