Pros

Used to be the company car and profit sharing. I understand they are taking away the profit sharing.

Cons

They don't care about their employees' hapiness with their jobs. Raises are based upon subjective ranking among employees. They pile on so much work, with ever decreasing resources. that one soon finds oneself working just as hard as one's peers who earn considerably more. All discretion has been removed from employeees.

Pros

Prides themselves on treating their employees with respect. If, as an employee, you are disrespected, it's a reflection of your store's poor management, not the company. As far as food service jobs, you won't find more respect Job Security: Basically, if you do a good job, you won't be fired. If you don't, you could possibly be fired. You can be fired on the spot for safety violations like leaving the safe open, stealing, etc. For being a lousy worker, though, it is pretty difficult to be fired. This isn't necessarily a good thing, however, as you will see in my Co-worker Competence review

Pros

The only good thing about working for this joke of a company is that it looks good on your resume for when you find a real job. Many employers know what a sweatshop this company is, therefore when they see that you were able to last at least a year you are as good as gold on the free market.

Cons

I would say that every aspect of working at Farmers Group is a down side. I thought that they abolished 150 years ago. After working here I see that I was wrong. My advise to new college grads that were either tricked or forced to accept employment here is to use it as a resume builder and not to stay longer than 18 months max. FYI, they don't want you to stay longer than 2-3 years anyways as it saves them billions on retirement and health benefits. Hence the true nature of Farmers insurance............an entry level burn and churn scam.
