Pros

It's a small office, so flexibility is great if I need time off or to leave early. I can dabble in all lines of business, so it's great for getting experience and training. There is lots of training from the company online and with webinars. The district has training on products, sales and marketing. I'm able to handle all aspects of the customer experience.

Cons

The pay is very low.

Pros

Dress code is causal, hours are flexible, relaxed-laid back environment.

Cons

If you work for a agent, just like any boss, they can control your career. For example, if he don't want you to write commercial or personal lines insurance, you can't, even though you have the license for it. You always have to deal with constant, petty micromanagement.
